Let’s get back to the basics

Today I had a conversation with a business partner who brought up a great point. Sometimes the things we think people need aren’t really what they want. In business, it’s on you to find the problem and provide a solution for your audience in the time and space they’re in. Some may be ready for email marketing, and some may just need to start with the foundation of visualization. I know most of us want to feel like a “BOSS”, but a real boss knows and understands the importance of who they are and where they are at the moment. So let’s take a look at a few key principles to help us build this foundation.

Learn It

Why is it so important to have a general understanding of who we are and where we are in the present moment?

It takes more than just a click of like and a follow to be experienced in this world. Society would have us to believe the popcorn arrival to success is the only way to be rich in this world. It would also have us to think “if you post it they will come” It takes planning, preparation, and a heart of persistence to endure the blessings of success. It takes the second-mile man to go back to school or stay on a budget to be like no one else so that later he can live like no one else. No matter how long you’ve been in the industry, there’s always more to learn.

Live It

“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” ~Helen Keller

Having the heart to teach and lead others takes character and integrity. It’s putting you in someone else’s shoes when you’ve already been there before. It’s being honest even in the hardest moments in time. To live what you speak and live who you aspire to be, takes VISION. How do others see you when they agree to work with you? What attributes do you bring to their lives that can prepare them for success? We must live the thoughts we see for ourselves. Daily I visualize myself speaking in front of thousands of people without a microphone. Thinking that one day all of the technology will be completely shut down and I know that people will still need to hear a word from one powerful woman and that woman is me. Whatever the vision you have for your future, walk in those footsteps today.

Teach It

purpose (‘perpes) ~ the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

The reason we as leaders need the foundation of these principles is to “be fruitful and multiply.” Sure you probably thought that phrase was only for procreation, but it serves as the core principle in Leadership. Let’s just be honest, who doesn’t want to be paid for their time, effort and energy. Most of us would agree. How much easier would it be to teach someone to fish rather than go with them every time they’re hungry. It’s exhausting. My definition of greatness is to know that the person you’ve taught can effectively and efficiently execute the training you’ve shared. We must teach others what we’ve learned, how it’s positively served us, and why it’s important.

These are the foundation of what it takes to be a leader. Keep in mind. Moses leads over 2000 people to the red sea, but he couldn’t do it alone. He had to learn the principles of truth. Live by those principles daily. Then teach it to a few good leaders so that everyone could get a chance to learn to live with those same principles. It’s time to get back to the basics.

Change Leads to Power!

“Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Rom. 12:2)

When the Lord requires you to change your lifestyle, He not only gives you the power to do so, but the result is a much more powerful you!

Change requires power. Any kind of change is a challenge for most people. Yet the Lord asks us to change from our old ways and do things His way. Not an easy task!

“Put off … the old man, … and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and… put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” (Eph. 4:22-24)

In your daily world, you must be adapting constantly, change is inevitable. You are being pulled in different directions and the older you get the less flexible you become. You get in the habit of doing things a certain way and become less tolerant to demands to alter our lifestyle. Changing learned responses to habitual routine tasks often causes stress and anxiety, especially as we get older.

However, when the Lord requires you to change your lifestyle, He not only gives you the power to do so, but the result is a much more powerful you! Some people say they love the Lord but refuse to make a commitment because they’re just not “ready” yet!

If only they realized that with the Lord everything goes smoothly, peacefully, and painlessly! Yes! Really! First, it’s your love for Him that prompts you to make adjustments. You cannot change on your own. He is the potter, you are the clay. All that is required of you is a willingness to want to be like Him.

The more readily you give yourself fully to Him the more instant the transformation. It all starts in your mind. Once you align your thoughts with those of Christ and understand His Word and His ways, then all the old habits and mindsets fall by the wayside. Suddenly they don’t seem so important any more. When you were in the world your mind, alienated from God through ignorance and blindness, prompted you to do things your own way. Once you know the Truth.

Besides the Holy Spirit, the Lord also knows that you need tangible support here on earth. That is why He has established you, who has been called out of the world, into His Body, the church. There He has provided leadership and support “for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ; till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ!” (Eph. 4; 12-13)

I pray, that you will be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your heart by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may come to comprehend His Love and be filled with all the fullness of God! He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to His Power that works in us! (Eph. 3:16-20)

The Right Attitudes to Achieve Your Goals

Having the right attitude towards achieving your goals is imperative to the overall success of business and in your life. If you want to be truly successful in how you achieve your goals, then you need to harbor the right habits and attitudes that will keep you on track. Here are a few keys of achievement great people have.

Work Hard

Hard work always pays off. There is no single famous individual person in history who achieved several goals in life without working it off. This means you must be working harder than anyone else, studying more than anyone else and even suffering more than anyone else. You have to understand the importance of delayed gratification as you work towards your ultimate goal. To begin hard work, you can begin by fixing your schedule, writing down tasks and functions of the day and finding the right people and resources that can assist you. Keep in mind that you have to be as independent as possible to finish more in the long term.

Discipline and Consistency

Discipline is what separates the leaders from the followers. If you truly want to make changes in your life, you have to understand doing things even if you do not want to at times, and maintaining excellent quality and high performance each time. Being consistent is intertwined with patience, where as you continue performing well, regardless of the situations and hindrances, to get the results you want in the end.

Discipline and consistency are also related, in the sense that discipline breeds consistency. If you continue practicing good habits and sticking to the functions that lead to your main goal, you will find it easier to do this as time passes. You will change as an entire person and experience the opportunities that come with being dedicated.

Problems are a part of every man’s life, but it is the resilient person who always prevails and achieves their goals. You need to learn from your past mistakes and convert these into more productive actions the next time. Learn to pick yourself up after each fall and put in double effort to become better. Some of the most successful people, as well as those who truly left a mark in history are known to have faced big difficulties and resentment before they let others understand their own way of doing things.

You need to stay positive about your situation, regardless of the problems that you face. It is vital that you stay optimistic and always believe that you will get to your goal, no matter what. If you tell yourself that you will reach it sooner, chances are you will. It might help to believe in the powers of the Law of Attraction which draws opportunities toward you just the way you intend it to.

Some goals are very big and will take time to accomplish. Do not allow yourself to think that some goals are just too huge to be possible. Be specific and set goals that are attainable to your current situation and start working to achieve these. You can break it down into smaller tasks that are much easier to do within the given time frame that you have.

There are a number of good traits you have to keep for life to discover that more opportunities and good things are bound to happen, if only you allow these.  Being grateful for the smaller things as well as the BIG things that happen in your life will determine how you truly perceive your greatness. The attitude of gratitude and faith are the only things that will get you where you want to be.
